The Great Bombogenesis of 2022

Preparing for a winter storm is never fun, but always a necessity. It should seem like a “no-brainer” but we at SERVPRO of Beverly/Cape Ann always wants to remind you to be prepared and to stay safe during such times. This weekend seems to be turning out to be one of those very many times. Heavy snow and wind and low temperatures are on their way, and we will always be here for the aftermath. Our 24/7 Emergency Services will get to you quick to alleviate some of the hassle of possible storm damage. SERVPRO of Beverly/Cape Ann (978) 927-8665
As we brace ourselves for the next Nor’easter that will be inevitably hitting us this weekend with high winds and heavy snow fall one must ask: Is this going to be one of those Bomb Cyclones? What is a Bomb Cyclone, and is it the same as Bombogenesis? Do I need a root cellar to ride this cyclone out like Dorothy and is this the return of Paul Simon and Peter Gabriel together again?!
Of course, we would love Genesis to magically do a revival concert, but Bombogenesis has nothing to do with the sweet sounds of the original members of that group. Bombogenesis is a real event that happens when a beautiful symphony of atmospheric dynamics accumulate to yield an intense meteorological “bomb.” A dip in the jet stream, known as a trough, will energize a nascent surface storm that will rapidly intensify to create a Bomb Cyclone. This event will dump tons of snow and blast everything with high winds. When this horribly cold type of weather apocalypse happens, and you need help with the aftermath (frozen pipes, ice dams, clean up, etc.) call SERVPRO of Beverly/Cape Ann (978) 927-8665.
Stay Healthy, Prepared, Safe and don’t forget the milk, bread and toilet paper when you’re rushing out to that packed grocery store this Friday. And remember that we will always be ready for any horrendous aftermath that should happen. Call us at (978) 927-8665
